Chinese mainland singer He Jie announced her intent to cancel the contract with EE Media Wednesday noon in Beijing. He said EE media’s operation of making scandals drives her away.

He denied dating Chen Chusheng, which was reported why He chose to leave.

The 23-year-old Super Girl said she worries about the penalties she might pay for EE Media. Though called the making-most-money female artist at EE Media, He said “To be honest, I’m not rich.”

Is it not awkward to keep referring to her as “He?” lol

btw. Chris Li Yuchun is the called the making-most-money female artist at EE Media….

He Jie’s second (unless you don’t count Chris as female? *runs away*)

    Very good questions.

    1. I had thought about how to refer to He Jie. I realized it’s confusing, but as a publication, you need consistency of your format. If you use the last name to make a second reference, just stick to it. Some publications, such as WSJ, use Mr./Ms., but again, consistency. You can’t change every time when encounting a problem.

    2. I think they call He Jie as the making-most-money female artist largely because EE Media owns all of her contracts. You probably know that Taihe Rye Music holds Li Yuchun’s music contract, so I believe that’s why Li doesn’t rank the highest.
