Red Cliff Movie Coming to US
The highest grossing Chinese movie, Red Cliff, is set to debut in US and Europe this fall after Magnolia Pictures acquired the US distribution rights. The original movie was over 4 hours but will be chopped down to 2 1/2 hours for the US/European movie theaters. Already an English poster of the movie has appeared. With an all-star cast of Vicky Zhao, Tony Leung Chiu Wai and Takeshi Kaneshiro, it was odd that the poster only had Tony Leung’s name as bold. Maybe it was the success of the movie, “Lust, Caution” in US that led to the decision.
