Tokyo Tops World’s Most Expensive Cities to Live 2009
Tokyo, Japan tops the list for the Most Expensive cities to live in the annual Mercer’s Worldwide Cost of Living survey. A typical subway ride cost $3.25. Add a newspaper and a cup of coffee and the total comes out to over $11.
The top 2 cities on the survey were both Japanese cities. Osaka came in 2nd with Moscow, Geneva and Hong Kong rounding up the top 5.
