Top Domestic Japanese Movies for 2009

Nikkan Sports, a leading Japanese newspaper, conducted a survey on the most popular Japanese movies in 2009.  The poll were during May 2009 and tallied 3131 votes.  Among the top domestic Japanese films in 2009 are:

1. Yatterman (Takashi Miike/Sakurai Sho) – 933 votes

2. ROOKIES -Sotsugyo- (Sato Ryuta/Ichihara Hayato) – 338 votes

3. Crows Zero 2 (Takashi Miike/Oguri Shun) – 311 votes

4. K-20 : Legend of the Mask (Takeshi Kaneshiro) – 252 votes
5. Yomei Ikkagetsu no Hanayome (Eikura Nana/Eita) – 163 votes
6. Heaven’s Door (Nagase Tomoya/Fukuda Mayuko) – 162 votes
7. The Triumphant General Rouge (Abe Hiroshi/Takeuchi Yuko) – 143 votes
8. Oppai Valley (Ayase Haruka) – 90 votes
9. Gravity Clown (Okada Masaki) – 77 votes
10. Drop (Mizushima Hiro/Narimiya Hiroki) – 70 votes
